The overall power of a central power supply can be lower than the sum of installed inverter power, since not all axes are operated simultaneously with rated power or an energy exchange occurs between motors and generator-driven drives. In addition, components such as electrical or kinetic energy storage devices or brake choppers and brake resistors, can be integrated in the DC bus.
IndraDrive M (HMV01)
The HMV01 supply units generate a DC bus voltage from the supply voltage. They come in rectifier and rectifier/regeneration variants. Rectifier/regeneration variants can also feed regenerative energy back into the supply network, keeping the DC bus voltage at a constant level regardless of supply voltage. Depending on size, the supply units come with integrated components, such as network contactor, braking transistor or brake resistor. Air cooling is the only type of cooling available.
Features
- 18 kW … 120 kW power range
- 380 V … 480 V mains connection voltage
- Protection type IP20
- Rectifier or rectifier/regeneration function
IndraDrive M (HMV02 – Supply Device)
The HMV02 supply unit generates a DC bus voltage from the supply voltage. It is available in a rectifier/regeneration variant. This means it can also feed regenerative energy back into the supply network, keeping the DC bus voltage at a constant level regardless of supply voltage. The network contractor, braking transistor or brake resistor are integrated. Air cooling is the only type of cooling available.
Features
- 15 kW power
- 380 V … 480 V mains connection voltage
- Protection type IP20
- Rectifier and regeneration functions
IndraDrive M (HMS02 – Single-axis Inverter)
The HMS02 single-axis inverters are powered by direct current and use it to generate a controlled AC output voltage of variable amplitude and frequency for operating a motor. They come with a control unit slot that has various interfaces for connecting to the automation environment, for encoder systems, safety technology, and additional digital and analog signals, etc. The firmware in the control unit controls the motor inverter and offers extensive additional functions. For multi-axis applications, the inverters are powered by the DC bus from the HMV02 supply unit. It is also possible to power the inverters from the DC bus of an HCS converter for smaller axis packages and with an appropriate power reserve in the HCS02.
Features
- 5.5 kW … 11 kW power range
- 13.8 A … 25 A continuous current
- 28 A … 54 A maximum current
- 540 V … 750 V DC line voltage
- Protection type IP20
IndraDrive M (HMD01 – Double-axis Inverter)
The HMD01 double-axis inverters are powered by direct current and use it to generate two independently controlled AC output voltages of variable amplitude and frequency for operating two motors. They come with a control unit slot that has various interfaces for connecting to the automation environment, for encoder systems, safety technology, and additional digital and analog signals, etc. The firmware in the control unit controls both inverters independently and offers extensive additional functions. For multi-axis applications, the inverters are powered by the DC bus from HMV01 or HMU05 supply devices. It is also possible to power the inverters from the DC bus of an HCS converter for smaller axis packages and with an appropriate power reserve in the HCS.
Features
- 3 kW … 7.5 kW power range
- 7 A … 20 A continuous current
- 12 A … 36 A maximum current
- 540 V … 750 V DC line voltage
- Protection type IP20
